Your Destiny Number shows who you are and how you act: your natural talents, the way you work, and the abilities you bring to everything you do. In Pythagorean numerology it's calculated from all the letters of your full birth name, and it's one of the three core numbers of your name, along with your Soul Urge and your Personality Number.

What is the Destiny Number?
If your Soul Urge is what you want and your Personality is how others see you, your Destiny is what you actually do with what you have: the tools you were born with and the way you use them. It's the number people recognize in you once they've worked or lived with you for a while.
It's called the Destiny Number because it describes the potential you came with; many schools also call it the Expression Number because it shows how you express yourself in the world. At Alkiimia it shows who you already are, while your Life Path shows what you're here to learn.
How to calculate your Destiny Number
At Alkiimia your Destiny Number is the sum of your Soul Urge (vowels) and your Personality (consonants) from your full birth name, reduced to a single digit; the master numbers 11, 22, and 33 are not reduced. Each letter has a value in the Pythagorean chart:

Destiny and Life Path: not the same thing
Your Destiny comes from your name and shows who you already are and how you act. Your Life Path comes from your date of birth and shows what you're here to learn. If life were a road trip, the Life Path would be the road and the Destiny would be the car you drive. When both numbers match, your talents and your lesson go in the same direction; when they don't, the car has to adapt to the road, and that's where you grow.

- Should I use my married name or my nickname? No. Use your full birth name. The name you go by today is read separately, in Signature & Everyday Name.
- Can my Destiny Number change? No. It comes from your birth name and stays with you for life.
